Officer Rene Cruz recognized for hard work

Going beyond the call of duty, meet the Corpus Christi Police Officer of the month. Officer Rene Cruz received the recognition courtesy of Lone Star Real Estate.

He was nominated by his police supervisor who said its good to recognize the hard work that our officers put in everyday. Officer Cruz is credited with arresting a knife wielding robber who held up two 12 year old girls and a Corpus Christi mother after he was caught trying to burglarize their garage and steal their lawn mower.

Officer Cruz says an important aspect of a police officer’s job is to know who is causing problems in a neighborhood.
